So, ok this was my first official sewing project that I attempted to make on my own, without any help. I started with a dress and it was going great until I hit a roadblock because I unlike professional sewing masters have yet to learn how to read a pattern and follow directions. Long story short, the dress came out uneven, upside down and totally un-wearable. So I ended up with something a little simpler and this is what came about.
So I can officially say, I’m a sewer! I can’t believe I sewed my very own skirt for my little girl. I feel so proud, like one of those moms who jumps up and down at the very thought of winning the lottery or something outrageous. I now feel confident enough to try and make that dress or perhaps another skirt…lol.
