So I’ve been neglecting my blog a bit, but I have a really good excuse. I started a blogging class, which has been such a breath of fresh air for me. I started this blog thinking that I could just wing it and it would be a success, but after taking this class, I realized and learned that it doesn’t quite work that way. A blog takes dedication, time, patience, consistency, and most importantly it requires my true voice and words. So this blog is a work in progress as I continue develop my style and esthetic, but I hope that you will continue to stick with me and hopefully I can inspire you somehow along the way.

My 4yr old decided to be a superhero this year for Halloween. Luckily this year she so conveniently reminded me that I had promised to make her costume every year. I didn’t think I could pull it off, but my sewing skills progressively improved over the past few months, and I decided to take the challenge. So here it is, my own official Purple super Hero Emma. I thought one costume was good enough this year, so I didn’t even bother making my sons, but there’s always next year and I couldn’t help myself with this Cute Captain America Costume.

These are my stinky Rats as I like to refer to sometimes when they are being cleverly mischievous and somehow still remain cute, not that I find rats to be cute in any way, but they seem to respond to it.
I was able to get away for a weekend and decided to drive up to Dallas, and take the Kids to the Arboretum Pumpkin Patch. As it is always beautiful this time of year, when the leaves are changing colors and the weather is crisp.
